Bond University is Australia’s highest rating university after earning the most five-star ratings of any university across an impressive ten key performance indicators in the 2012 Good Universities Guide.

The private, not-for-profit university on Queensland’s Gold Coast dominated the ‘Educational Experience’ categories, receiving the maximum five-star rating across the board; including in the important areas of teaching quality, student-staff ratio and overall satisfaction.

An independent consumer guide, the Good Universities Guide is Australia’s only definitive guide to university performance, providing ratings, rankings, comment and information about all Australian higher education institutions.

Bond University Vice-Chancellor, Professor Robert Stable said it is the sixth consecutive year Bond has been awarded five-stars by the guide for student-staff ratio and overall graduate satisfaction.

“The consistency of our performance in these key areas is testament to the dedication of our world-class teaching staff and our commitment to providing our students with a personalised educational experience that is second-to-none,” said Professor Stable.

“We have a culture of encouraging and supporting achievement and accolades such as this prove that our focus on excellence is working,” he said.

Bond University awarded five stars for fifth year running - 2011

Bond University has received a five star rating for student-staff ratio* and graduate outcomes for the fifth consecutive year in the 2011 Good Universities Guide, affirming the University has it right when it comes to providing a personalised and outcomes-driven education.

As Australia’s leading, private, not-for-profit university, located on the Gold Coast, Bond University is also Queensland’s highest rating university earning the most five star ratings of any university in the state.

The independent consumer guide is Australia’s only definitive guide to university performance, providing ratings, rankings, comment and information about all Australian higher education institutions.

Bond University Vice-Chancellor Professor Robert Stable said achieving a five star assessment in the key indicators is testament to the University’s commitment to offer its students a personalised education that prepares graduates for work on the world stage.

Bond MBA students are repeat world champions

“The Super Bowl of World Business-Plan Competitions”
The Bond Business Faculty is the most consistent performer in the International Moot Corp MBA Competition held each year in Austin, Texas. Teams of MBA students from Bond University have been competing in this world wide and prestigious competition for the last thirteen years and have beaten their counterparts from Harvard, Wharton, Stanford, UCLA and London School of Business, winning in 1994, 1996 and 2000. They have achieved second place on three occasions and received special awards on four occasions. Bond holds the record for the most wins at this competition.

BOND LAW STUDENTS BEAT YALE TO WIN WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

On February 20, 2009, a group of talented Bond Law students won first place in the prestigious International Criminal Court (ICC) Trial Competition in the The Hague, the Netherlands.

20 teams from 14 countries competed in the ICC Trial Competition, including the UK, USA, Russia, China, India, the Netherlands, South Africa and Canada.

The victory for Bond came after defeating Yale University and Utrecht University in the grand final.

The ICC Trial Competition is the third law contest Bond University has won within the last 12 months. Bond also took first place in the International Intellectual Property Law Mooting Competition in Beijing, China in August 2008...and the National Family Law Mooting Competition in Australia, in March 2008.

Bond University's Centre for Film, Television and Screen-based Media has been
identified as one of the ten best film schools in the world by the Gabarron
Foundation. The Foundation, which has headquarters in both Spain and the United
States, has recently inaugurated an international student film competition.

Bond University's 'Quality Versus Quantity' Approach Applauded in Government Audit (2005)

Bond University’s unique personalized approach to tertiary education was recognized today, amongst other commendations, in a report released by the Australian Universities Quality Agency (AUQA).
The AUQA report states that Bond’s small class sizes and low student ratios ‘are a real strength and a distinguishing factor between it and most, if not all, other Australian universities’. This contributes significantly to a distinct ‘Bond experience’ highly prized by students.
In a list of twelve commendations, Bond University was applauded for its small class sizes, personalized approach to students, alumni relations, focus on graduate attributes, operational efficiency, and outstanding IT and library resources.
Titled Report of an Audit of Bond University, Australia’s peak university quality authority confirmed what Bond University , its students and alumni, have long claimed. That is, that Bond University offers its students a ‘distinctive experience’ during their studies through to their working life.
The Australian Universities Quality Agency (AUQA) is an independent, not-for-profit national agency that promotes, audits and reports on quality assurance in Australian higher education.
AUQA further commended Bond University for the following practices:


  • AUQA commends Bond University for achieving its goal of maintaining a low student/staff ratio and small tutorial class sizes.
  • AUQA commends Bond University for the high level of satisfaction expressed by students in the staff and the teaching.

Bond Fitness Center ranked # 2 in Australia (2004)

The Bond University Fitness Centre (available to all Bond students) was recently voted runner-up in the Australian Fitness Centre of the Year award. This prestigious award comes a few months after the Centre received the title of 'Queensland Fitness Centre of the Year', an honor awarded by Fitness Queensland, the state governing body. Both awards were based on criteria such as the provision of innovative programs and practices, quality services and facilities, and leadership and management practices.

Held annually at the University of Texas, the Moot Corp International Challenge attracts entries from 40 of the world’s best business schools.
